Anyone feel the need to be MOD?
Sun Apr 18, 2010 6:14 pm by meanwood_monks
Been thinking about this for a while now.

Some of you guys/gals have been here since day 1. Cheers for all your support over this time.
Was wondering if anyone was wanting to keep an eye on things and have MOD rights here.

Haven't posted a thread for a while but here is a nice local Leeds one, mods feel free to bin it if it has been done too much Very Happy

Visited the huge complex of buildings known as Hunslet and Victoria Mills in Leeds on a cold clear November afternoon, the light was just great.

This massive complex of mills has stood empty sine the 1970s and is due for conversion into flats and houses. The company who owns the site, Caddick, actually seem to be getting on with it at last and have laid paths and concrete bases for builders portacabins to stand on. I asked one of them and he said work is going to start in January.....a massive task.

The mills are all completely empty but some nice signs remain and few other bits and bobs. Getting into the site is not the easy task it was 18 months ago.

The old admin section of the mills

Company safe and strongroom

Thanks for looking Wink

As I commented on over the road, I really need to get there for this. I love the admin section, some really nice features remaining, although the main mills look stripped. Those old gates by the bricked up arch look mint.

Yeah but wouldn't the person viewing have to be approved first to even see the thread? I cant really see pikies and camera muggers joining up to plot their next victims attack.
More chance of getting that while there's still something worth nicking.

In other news, i've got some old photos from the 1950s of Hunslet Mills including an interior one with a marble fireplace.
