Anyone feel the need to be MOD?
Sun Apr 18, 2010 6:14 pm by meanwood_monks
Been thinking about this for a while now.

Some of you guys/gals have been here since day 1. Cheers for all your support over this time.
Was wondering if anyone was wanting to keep an eye on things and have MOD rights here.

This is another place that has been on my list for a while and yesterday the Urbex Gods were on my side because someone had kicked in the front door for me - no doubt looking for metal to steal, they would have been disappointed as this place was strictly wood, bricks and (some) mortar. Now I know I'm only an average photographer but for some reason this lot came out even more blurry than usual, sorry, anyway I hope you like them as I braved Trifid sized nettles, psycho pigeons and dodgy stairs to get them.

I thought this windowless wall was pretty impressive

Just one example of the many remnants of funky wallpaper in the house

Upstairs landing

This was the most modern thing left in the place

A whisk on a shed wall???

Gutters

Big old feed hopper next to the house and surrounding barns (all falling down)

The biggest barn was still being used by someone, I like the old school telegraph thingies

...I was actually being watched by this young fella

I think the sign would have had more impact if it had said "Big Udder Is Watching You"

Nice work mate. The old fireplace is fantastic, as is the wallpaper. Makes you wonder why so many places like this are just left. Good work for getting out there.
